![]() ![]() This let me enjoy some nostalgia by unlocking some favourite characters from the old Black Ops campaigns and Zombies modes. ![]() In Blackout, you could find character-specific items on the map, and completing the item’s unique challenge during the match would unlock that character for permanent use in Blackout and multiplayer. In addition to more events and map refreshers, I’d love to see Blackout’s character challenges migrate into Warzone. ![]() We don’t even know yet if we’ll get a brand-new Warzone map, or a 1980’s re-skin of the existing landscape with Cold War. A moving train and a subway system were both added, which gave alternate means of travel across the map, but that didn’t really affect the looting or landscape very much. So far, the best change we’ve received was the Verdansk stadium opening up. No one ever wants to land in the Downtown area: It’s an eyesore of buildings with a bad loot ratio. There’s a ton of real estate at the southern portion of the map that usually goes untouched unless the circle forces players to venture there. Nevertheless, Warzone’s map of Verdansk has so much untapped potential, with so many places where loot and gunfights could be improved. It’s unclear if we’ll see any major changes between the end of Warzone’s haunting event and the launch of Black Ops: Cold War. They even created a wacky Blackout mode with superheroes and a comic-style filter that gave me Borderlands vibes. I’m feeling optimistic Treyarch and Raven Software’s previous work together on Blackout already proves that they know how to have fun with battle royale. But I want more events to shake things up for the Cold War season. There were also plenty of spirits and a ghost train haunting Verdansk in a really cool way. It’s a better Halloween update than Blackout’s eerie fog, because Warzone’s night mode works better than Blackout’s low-visibility fog. Warzone, meanwhile, hasn’t gotten many map changes, and, if you don’t count the super-limited Black Ops: Cold War teaser mode, the only full event Warzone has received is the ongoing “Haunting of Verdansk” event. Not to mention there was a smaller second map, “Alcatraz,” that was added and updated as well. Blackout received updates that added more building variety and points of interest over time, including an entire ghost town that included parts of the “Buried” Zombies map from Black Ops 2. There was an event that flooded the map, and Halloween had thick fog and rivers of blood with the “Haunting Fog” event. When it comes to changes and events, Blackout kept things fresh with seasonal map updates such as fall trees and summer beach vibes. Later on, the codes were all released for those who were unable to complete the challenges. One would be more map updates and diversity. If one completed all of the challenges, they would receive one additional code for a special Battle Hardened character skin. Registering all codes would grant codes to be used in the Redemption Center for Call of Duty Mobile. While the club was present, one could do various challenges to receive codes for Pawn Takes Pawn. Players could also pick up a glowstick and dance with it. Players could also find a soccer ball to play around with as well as a machine to get a paintball gun resembling the KRM-262. On October 22, Price was added next to the entrance of the game area and could be interacted with to start missions. Players could also interact with Simon "Ghost" Riley to start missions. They could also use the Anniversary Machine to get points that could then be used in the Anniversary Event menu to get rewards such as emblems, backpacks, calling cards or weapon variants. ![]() On the otherside of the Club, a game area could be found where players were able to play a game of Kaboom! or a game of Darts. On October 16, Gaz was added next to the DJ stage and could be interacted with to start missions. The Club also featured a mixing stage with Reaper serving as the DJ, players could change the music played inside the Club between four different tracks, "No Mercy", "Lost but Found", "The Beast Arrives" and "Parallel Vibes". On October 22, Soap was added next to the bar in front of different maps pinned on a wall and could be interacted with to start missions. Adler could be seen on a pillar next to the bar and could be interacted with to start missions. or sit on the nearby tables to play a "Knife Game". Players could sit at the bar to talk with T.E.D.D. The Club featured a bar called "Rebel Rocket" with T.E.D.D. The Club, also known as Soldier's Paradise, was a social hub in Call of Duty: Mobile added on Octoas part of the Season 11 Anniversary update and available to all players that reached level 4 in the game until November 10, 2020. ![]()
